Kevin Rowan, Irish born and raised on the south side of Chicago, adopted KRow Live as his stage name, which started out as an affectionate nickname given by friends. KRow learned to play guitar to accompany himself while singing with the image of one day becoming a musician. KRow’s biggest obstacle was working as a bar manager during nights/weekends and not believing that it was possible to become a gigging musician.

Then a friend convinced him to audition for Bourbon Street’s The One singing competition… And he made it!!

After competitive participation, he began to believe that he was capable of performing his own gigs and actively started to pursue his goal. With newfound confidence, he began to attend open mic’s weekly and slowly developed skill and built a song list.

After about a year of attending open mic’s, KRow started performing his own gigs and hosting open mic’s.

For the last two years, KRow has been gigging at bars, private parties, and festivals throughout southern Chicagoland. As well as an opportunity to perform in a popular tourist spot in Ireland during his last visit to the Motherland.

His favorite part of covering songs is making them his own by adapting them to his own style and voice. His set lists have been called eclectic by his listeners and appeal to a wide range of demographics. His five favorite songs to perform currently include: Into the Mystic by Van Morrison, Unchained Melody by The Righous Brothers, Drift Away by Doby Gray, Careless Whispers by Wham!, and Blinding Lights by The Weekend.
